How To Crochet A Gingerbread Boy Amigurumi Cuddler Pillow With Rosy Cheeks And Kawaii Smile. Our Gingerbread Boy Crochet Pattern Works Up Quickly!
Hi friend! We’re so excited to share our Gingerbread Boy crochet pattern Kawaii Cuddler® with you!
We learned so many fun facts while researching our design:
- According to the Swedish tradition, you can make a wish, using gingerbread. First, put the gingerbread in your palm and then make a wish. You then have to break the gingerbread with your other hand. If the gingerbread breaks into three, the wish will come true.
- Queen Elizabeth I of England is credited with the first gingerbread men.
- The gingerbread house became popular in Germany after the Brothers Grimm published their fairy tale collection which included “Hansel and Gretel” in the 19th century.
This is a beginner level pattern. Our finished Gingerbread Boy project is 14″ x 9.5″ using the recommended hook size. You are welcome to go up or down a hook size to create a different dimension. You can even hold two pieces of yarn together with a larger hook to create a giant cuddler. The sky is the limit!
If you’ve never worked one of our Kawaii Cuddler® patterns, they are geared towards beginners. You will work two flat pieces and single crochet them together to finish the piece. Even if you’ve never been able to crochet from a pattern before, we’re confident you can create with a 3amgracedesigns pattern.
